Animal Madness on the Herengracht
From 22 okt until 23 Nov it’s animal madness on the Herengracht!
At the Art Zoo Museum, you’ll encounter colorful birds, slithering snakes, impressive crocodiles, and even a T-Rex. Just a few doors down, the beautiful Canal House Museum invites you to discover even more animals in the exhibition Animals of the Canals. By showing your Art Zoo Museum ticket, you can enjoy free entry to the Canal House Museum until November 23 (and vice versa).
Terms & Conditions: Valid until November 23, 2025, upon presentation of a valid admission ticket from either museum. This offer applies only to tickets priced at €17.50. Discount cards, such as the Museumkaart, are not valid for this promotion.

Go on an adventure with both children and adults using the Art Zoo Safari (ages 6–17) or the Search & Color Map (ages 1–5)!
Explore the museum and answer questions about the animals and artworks, complete creative tasks such as comparing details or discovering shapes, and actively learn about the collection along the way.
The scavenger hunt sparks curiosity and teamwork, and is suitable for schools, families, and groups.

We are easily accessible by public transport. The nearest stop is Amsterdam Koningsplein, just a few minutes' walk away.
The museum is a 10-minute tram ride from Central Station. Take tram 2 or 12 to Amsterdam Koningsplein stop.
BY BIKE:
We are easily accessible by bike (including rental bikes).
Please note that bicycle parking around our location is limited.
BY CAR:
Art Zoo Museum does not have its own parking facilities. (Paid) street parking along the canal is possible but challenging.

Entering and exiting the garage is easy with license plate recognition. No need to stop at a payment machine afterwards. That way, you’ll have more time to enjoy your visit to the Art Zoo Museum.
ACCESSIBILITY INFORMATION
Due to the restrictions of our historic building, there are unfortunately some limitations for individuals with mobility impairments.
The museum is not wheelchair accessible.
At Art Zoo Museum, (short) stairs lead you to the main entrance and from one exhibition space to another. The bar is also accessible only via a short flight of stairs. Therefore, for a pleasant visit, it is necessary to be able to manage (a few steps) up and down stairs.
HOUSE RULES
To maintain the collection and the unique atmosphere of the museum, we kindly ask visitors to adhere to the following house rules:
✔ Touching the artworks is not allowed.
✔ Photography is permitted for personal use, but without flash.
✔ Large bags and backpacks are not allowed inside; small bags are permitted. Lockers are available.
✔ Eating and drinking are not allowed in the exhibition spaces.
✔ Smoking is not permitted in the museum.
✔ Children up to 13 years old must always be accompanied by an adult.
✔ Pets are not allowed.
